Halsa Utvikling

​Halsa Utvikling was founded in 2012 and is a voluntary organization that conducts rural development work with a focus on housing, well-being and innovative business.

​

HU owns a plot of land centrally located in Halsanaustan. Here they have built Naboskapet, the Trollskapet and Felleskapet. The latter is used for everything from birthday parties to outdoor stages to camping. On the plot they also have a volleyball court, a bonfire, a skate ramp and opportunities to take a dip in the Halsafjorden. The goal has been to create a meeting place for both the local population, the cabin people and passers-by. Their latest and largest project to date is the housing project, which they hope will be realized next year at the latest.

Kristin Kvande Betten is the manager of Halsa Utvikling and lives in Halsahagan, is married to Mats-Erik and is a mother of three. She currently works as a teacher at Straumsnes Primary and Secondary School.

BETA is used for office work related to various projects, as well as meeting activities. As HU works for innovative businesses, this is an excellent way for them to be where it's happening and build networks.
